Gymnastics.. The Basic Training For All Sports!

The many benefits of gymnastics training are to develop coordination, flexibility, strength and power, gain self-esteem and coordination, learn to listen and follow directions, social interaction, develop skills to enhance other sports, learn to set goals, learn fundamental movements and it's FUN!

Classes are designed to utilize our gymnastics related equipment such as wedges, barrels, springboards, and trampolines along with specific skill progressions helping to develop strength, flexibility, and balance. The focus is overall fitness, coordination, and agility improving for all sports.

GymTastic Curriculum

Double 'D' instructors are specialists in designing challenges disguised as FUN and encouraging kids to go beyond their perceived limitations. Recreational gymnastics is designed to provide a non-competitive, achievement-oriented program of progressive skills.

Skill Poster

Each student will receive a "skill chart" to display at home and track each new skill. Your child will learn the skills on the chart, PLUS many other movements. We are helping each child to do their personal best!

Supervised Practice Time (S.P.T.)

We designed for the student that wants to progress faster. It's a chance to practice the skills they learned in class. Held every Friday 6:30 - 8:30 pm during the school year for students 1st grade thru high school. Guests are welcome with a signed release form. (Ask at the front desk)

Skills and Thrills

Skills and Thrills is an exciting event for the entire family. Mom, Dad, brother, sister, Gram, Grandpa are all invited to watch your star gymnasts show-off the skills they have been working on. Designed expressly for fun and personal achievement. Skills and Thrills: "Where every child is a winner". (Held in early June)

What to Wear

Girls: leotard or shorts and t-shirt. Long hair tied back. No halters or spaghetti straps.
Boys: shorts and t-shirt.
Both: Avoid buckles, zippers, snaps, etc. Socks or bare feet. Warm-up suits or sweats are fine for cooler weather. No loose or baggy clothing, jewelry, gum, food or drinks in the gym. Please leave valuables at home.

Make-Ups

It is always best to attend your regularly scheduled class. When an emergency occurs, please call our office and we will do our best to arrange a make-up class.

Note: The number of make-ups we accept in any class is limited. Make-ups are not guaranteed and in all cases are limited to 2 per session. Please refer to our "Registration Agreement".

Which Class?

We use grade as the primary variable for determining your child's class time. Considering each child's experience and skill level we subdive classes into logical, homogeneous groups. After trying different methods of "placement", we have found this approach offers an excellent training situation for kids. It also allows us to be more flexible regarding personal scheduling problems.
